Today's Daily Devotional for Women - 4 Stages of Success

Godlywood Girl Motivational Quote

Bible Verse of the Day

Proverbs 14:23 – 24 - “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. The wealth of the wise is their crown, but the folly of fools yields folly.”

Today’s Daily Devotional for Women

From the world’s perspective, you should keep doing something as long as it makes you happy, right? So you keep going after your goals as long as you’re happy doing it, but as soon as it gets tough or too many obstacles get in the way, it’s time to give up and move on to something else.

But here’s why that method is flawed. Achieving success isn’t easy. Otherwise everybody would always succeed. This world is made for you to work hard and put in the grind necessary and sow the right seeds for you to reap success. It’s not just going to fall into your lap.

Once you’ve found your purpose for Christ, there are 4 stages you’ll go through to actually finding success. Because while research shows there are 4 stages of success, only 2% of people actually get to the last level.  In the next couple of minutes I’m going to teach you the 4 stages.  Tell me what stage you find yourself on.

In Stage 1 – You develop a goal and think of a timeline you think it should happen – even if it’s subconscious.  This is the stage where you’re excited, you feel passion, you feel motivated. You know you’re going to accomplish your goal, you're going to achieve your passion and purpose for Christ, you feel it in your bones! And you get started putting your effort into achieving it.

Then Stage 2 happens, where unexpected obstacles get in the way of you being able to achieve your purpose.  These obstacles come in the form of family, money, personal growth, circumstances outside your control and other challenges that get in your way.  At this stage, you realize achieving your passion and purpose for Christ is going to take longer than expected. You realize that your circumstances and the challenges in your way won’t be easy to overcome.  Suddenly you find yourself thinking there isn’t enough time, enough energy, enough resources to make your purpose happen.

And that’s when you get to Stage 3, where as a result of the challenges, you start to look for shortcuts. You start trying to find a quick fix to achieve your purpose. And maybe that quick fix works for the short term, but as life goes, eventually that quick fix leaves you worse off than you were before. And when your quick fixes don’t work, you get even more frustrated than when the challenges first came. And you find yourself thinking: maybe this isn’t the right goal.  Maybe this isn’t the right dream. Maybe it’s time to move on to something else.  Maybe this is just impossible.

Now at this stage is the critical point. It’s at this stage you will give in to this mindset of impossibility, abandon your dream, quit and move on to something else.  OR, at this stage you will decide you’re not going to give up, that you’re not going to give in, that nothing is impossible and that through Christ you can do ALL things, and you WILL accomplish your purpose for His Kingdom.

And if you make the second decision, the decision to NOT QUIT, you will move on to Stage 4, which is where you refocus your efforts, organize your resources, find the right strategy that WORKS instead of the old strategies that didn’t work and put in the grind necessary to MAKE YOUR DREAM HAPPEN. And at this stage, you do not stop until you reach success. Statistics show that only 2% of people get to stage 4.  That means 98% of people stop right at Stage 3. Think back to the last goal you had that you stopped reaching for in stage 3.

Why did that happen? What made you quit?  Why did it happen? Why do most people end up stopping right at stage 3? Want to know the answer? Every single person who has or will ever see success goes through the 4 stages.  We all encounter those challenges and set backs.

But what separates the winners from the losers is that the winners know the rules to the game that take them to the next level.

And that's exactly what I teach you in my daily devotional called Unleash Your #Legend.  You'll learn the strategies for how to WIN at the purpose God created for your life.

And I want you to remind you how SPECIAL you are in God’s eyes with this affirmation:

I will live the life God called me to live. God has put everything I need inside of me – my personality, my skills, my talents and abilities – to ignite my passion and achieve His purpose. God says that in all things He works for the good of those who love Him in Romans 8:28. That means in all things, including who I am, He's working for my good and the purpose of His kingdom. God has created me to find my passion, live my purpose, and unleash my legend in Christ.

Amen!
