Today’s Daily Devotional for Women
When I was about 14 years old I felt like it was me against the world. There just weren’t a lot of people in my life telling me I was worthy of success and destined to fulfill my purpose. Instead I was told I was rebellious, replaceable, unworthy, mediocre.
And it would be easy to allow those words to dictate my life. It’s easy to let those words sink into my spirit and diminish my self-worth.
But you know what’s hard?
Rejecting those lies for exactly what they were – lies about who I am, what I stand for and what the God of this heaven says I am worth.
Because God has called you and me at this time, at this very moment, for the glory of His Kingdom. Your talents, your skill set, your personality, who you are – is for a purpose. It is preordained for God’s glory. All that makes you unique is exactly what God needs to shine His light on this earth. It doesn’t matter who says you’re not good enough or talented enough or smart enough to succeed, because God has already ordained you to RISE.
And because of that, I choose to live my life rejecting what the naysayers says about me and believing what God says about me.
I will rise.
And today it’s your turn to believe you’ll rise too.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for seeing me, for creating me, for knowing each hair on my head and each step of my feet. I pray for the strength today to believe in Your purpose for my life and to have confidence in the person You’ve allowed me to be.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
