If you want to learn how to write an e-book and make money, stay tuned to the end of this video. I am going to teach you the step-by-step process that I use at Godlywoodgirl. It is how I write e-books and make money online.
Hey love, it’s your girl Stephanie Rodnez, Founder and CEO of Godlywoodgirl and creator of the Godlywoodgirl School of Business. I am super excited to welcome you to part 3 of our e-book writing series. Now, if you missed videos 1 and 2 check out the icons or look in the description box below so you can check those out. In this video, I am going to show you how to write an e-book and make money. Step 1: Find a ‘Hot’ Market
Step number one is to find a hot market. One of the mistakes a lot of new entrepreneurs make, which I also did when I first started, is that we “guess” at what we should be writing. We guess at the products we should be making. We guess at what we should be offering in our business. The problem with that is that if somebody comes up to you from across the street and tries to tell you that: “hey, buy my ice cream cone” you will be like: “sis, I don’t know where you made that ice cream from and I don’t know if I even like that kinda ice cream. Get out of my face!” That’s how you are going to be like, right?
However, if you go into an ice cream shop, you will say: “I want this type of ice cream, I want those type of toppings and this kind of cone” and they make it exactly how you want it. How lucky are you going to be to buy that ice cream cone? Much more likely than if a stranger came up to you from across the street and tried to shove something that you don’t want to you.
It is the same thing we have to do in our business. We have to find out what people want first and then make it for them to suck it. That is what a hot market allows you to do. You identify a group of people who actively want a solution to a problem and now you get to identify how they want that problem solved. Step 2: Create a Premium Product for that Hot Market
Once you find that hot market, you now need to determine a premium product to serve that hot market. What is a premium product? It is a product that you sell for over $500. I know what you are thinking, I know. Your instincts are like: “I cannot sell stuff for $500, what are you talking about?”
Yes, this is what is called the “self-limit belief” and I suffered from that for a very long time as well. But my darling, if you have something that truly helps people, and they are willing to pay you $500 for it, then why would you not just offer it for $500? Why are we always undervaluing ourselves especially as Christian women entrepreneurs? Let me tell you something, this is not a problem that I have seen men deal with a lot. It is mostly us girls who have issues charging our worth.
I made this mistake a lot of the time regarding my business. I know I undercharge for the Godlywoodgirl School of Business. I know I undercharge at the Godlywoodgirl School of Purpose. I’m working on it sis, I’m working on it. Know that it is so important to make sure you have a premium serving offer in your business because if you are selling a $500 product and your goal is to make $4,000 a month, all you have to do is to sell 8 products. However, if your goal is to sell $4,000 a month and you sell $10 products, you now have to sell 400 products. 8 against 400..! It is a big difference. This is why it is so important to have premium product offers before you write your book.
Step 3: Write an E-Book that Presells Your Premium Product
The third step on how to write an e-book and make money is to write an e-book that presells your premium product. Yeah, I’m going to say that again. You are going to write an e-book that presells that premium product. I do this all the time at Godlywoodgirl. If you have read the 5 P’s of Purpose-Preneurship, if you read How to Make a Sales Funnel that Earns Money While You Sleep, the War of Purpose, and the Purpose Profit Formula, you have seen me write a book that gives you value, that solves a specific problem that you have, and also presells a premium offer in my businesses.
I am not the only one who does this and neither did I come up with this idea. Jeff Walker, Russell Bronson, Ryan Deiss, Louis Howl, so many different online gurus have used this method. This is because it is a great way to serve somebody where they are at and also allow them to go to the next level with you in the premium that you are offering.
So, create a book that presells that premium product. If you do not know how to do this, comment below saying: “Stephanie, I don’t know how to do this”. And I will try to put together a masterclass for all candidates.
Step 4: Use Marketing to Promote Your E-Book
Finally, step number four; once you have written your e-book that presells your premium product, use marketing methods to be able to sell that book to as many people as possible. Promote it to people who have the problem that you solve with your e-book. Do not try to sell stuff to people who do not need what you have. Make sure you are selling it to people who need what you have. If you don’t know how to do this, make sure you check out video 2 of this series where I teach you How to Market an E-Book. Use those methods, it works so well for me.
