Today's Daily Devotional for Women - Set Your Mind On Things Above

Godlywood Girl Inspirational Quote

Bible Verse of the Day

Colossians 3:22 – Set your mind on things above, not on things that are on earth.

Today’s Daily Devotional for Women

When we’re pursuing our goals, it’s easy to get distracted by all the negativity around us on this earth trying to hold us back.

A friend may decide to pick a fight with us. A trusted co-worker may stab us in the back. A loved one may rage against us. A mentor may discourage our dreams and our vision.

And Colossians 3:22 says to focus your mind – i.e., focus your thoughts – on what GOD tells you, not what people on this earth tell you.

Your passion is God’s purpose for your life. Your dream is God’s design for your life. Who cares if those down here speak against your goals?

Your job is to focus on what GOD says you are capable of. Your job is to dwell on the legend God created for your life.

You’re capable of doing everything God called you to do because He’s already given you everything you need to start doing it.

Focus your thoughts on things above. The negativity that comes from below just doesn’t matter.

Godlywood Girl Daily Affirmation Statement

Prayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for creating me with purpose. I pray for the strength to consciously choose my thoughts so I can set my mind and only dwell on the positive way You feel about my purpose.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,
